Taught Journalism & English including the newspaper Epic. Became Dept chair for Journalism in the 5 SM Sr High Schools. "All American Epic" for 20 years & Jr/Sr English. Started Soccer & coached both JV & varsity for 5 yrs. Did hospital, home bound & night school also. Started TV journalism. Served SMW 1962-1997. One of the last original teachers at West to retire.
Look for upcoming 10-book series to rock: it will really "spark a tambourine" (That's a hint.)

Have owned a 200-acre nature hideaway/retreat for 23 years in the Ozarks. A lot of work but fun; a good connection with nature.
Teach HS if doing life over? "Some things you are born to do. Maybe. It was great and I had fantastic kids & many good years. Teaching today has difficult challenges but fewer rewards. I remain, at 73, a perpetual student myself.".
