Myra died on January 17, 2011, of an acute form of leukemia.  Most of my memories of Myra are from working with her at the Sears Roebuck Catalog Store in "downtown" Overland Park.  She was a joy--big sister, partner in crime for innocent pranks, and a tireless worker all rolled into one.  Her eventual husband, Frank Holland, was the Assistant Manager at the store, and from the beginning they were a wonderful team.  Sad to think that they were both taken so young!  Eternal rest grant unto both of them!

I have wondered many times about Myra.  I hadn't seen her in many years.  Sorry to hear about her death.  Does her sister, Barbara, still live around here???

as for Barbara Holsapple, she is stii in the Johnson county area. I ran into her a couple of times at Wal-mart pharmacy. She was taking care of her dad, who recently passed away.                Harolyn Gish

I am so sorry to hear about Myra. I first met her in third grade when her family moved to OP from Brewster, Kansas because Myra suffered from Asthma. I remember Myra started an Elvis fan club. We would all gather in her garage, listen to Elvis records and scream. Myra was one of the good ones!

Myra was the best.  I worked at Boots Drive In for a year and remember walkin home from Boot's in Overland Park and stopping by the Hosapple's every once in a while to visit.   I remember that I watched the Academy Awards at her house when Lawrence of Arabia received best picture.  I also recall a "party" at her house as well but can't recall if it was "authorized"!  Regardless Myra was a great gal and good friend and wish I would have been in contact with her.
